After graduating from high school, Mi-Chelle L. Rios earned her B.A. degree in English with a minor in journalism. Later she earned an M.A. in psychology and a PhD in clinical psychology.  Taking a break from the rigors of academia upon completion of graduate school, Mi-Chelle decided to appease her creative side by moving to France to study art and design. While there she was fortunate enough to work closely with one of the worlds leading fashion designers. It was because of an unfortunate injury that Mi-Chelle began to write her first novel. She stated that although her undergraduate degree is in English she never entertained the thought of writing for publication. She added that once she began to write she realized that she was hooked on the craft. Mi-Chelle lives in Los Angeles California where she is working on her third novel. Aside from writing she is a world traveler who is multi-lingual.
